Wait! We’re in a Pandemic and You’re Pushing Pleasure?

Yes! Now, more than ever, is the time for Pleasure.

Women carry the bulk of the visible and invisible labor in times of crisis.

How much on overdrive have you been with care and safety measures required by the pandemic? This is a workaholic spell that leaves us in high cortisol fear mode. Bad for your brain, your PMS, your waistline and your soul. Do this too long & you find yourself burnt out, twired (tired and wired) or depressed.

Also are you beating up on yourself for “not” having your shit together? All the while, the machine of current culture keeps chugging away… sucking us dry. Is this the spell you’re under?

Your desires are essential to the balance of life on this planet.

If you listened to your desires, your deepest desires, what would your life look like? Ok so maybe the first week would be cheesecake for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but after you’ve fully and unabashedly enjoyed that fun, what’s in there?

How would you wake up and see the day? How would you take care of yourself? Your family and your friends? How would you relate to your work? And so importantly, what legacy could be your Masterpiece, your legacy that you leave behind when it’s time to hang up your earth boots for angel wings?

I say our deepest desires are linked to our true nature.

We often see our true nature after a crisis. People help each other! They are truly giving, co-operative, loving beings, until crisis grinds us down and we get tight and mean again.

The thing is a lot of tight and mean we see daily is just reality on autopilot, on a momentum of limited and unconscious choices of the past. Most of us have really squished and teeny weeny meany visions of what is possible for our lives because of this autopilot. So it’s a closed loop, like a hamster wheel.

Your desires are the ticket off the hamster wheel and they are also powerful agents for change. Mark my words, this is very subversive and very, very scary to status quo. Women on this path are like sneaky uncover activists of pleasure.
